Formula K-01 began as a simple substitution trial. Researchers replaced the Palm Oil used in Formula R-01 with Palm Kernel Oil while introducing oats and Bumblebee Pollen Powder in an effort to improve both performance and appearance.

Production proceeded without incident and the specimen behaved nearly identically to Formula R-01 during manufacturing. Early observations suggested the Bumblebee Pollen Powder might produce a rich yellow coloration, but those hopes quickly faded during curing, leaving behind only small yellow flecks scattered throughout the finished bar.

While the original objectives were not achieved, the experiment produced several unexpected discoveries that warrant further investigation.

No fragrance oils or essential oils were added, allowing the qualities of the experimental formula to take center stage.

Unexpected Findings:Palm Kernel Oil dramatically increased bar hardness while also increasing cleansing power beyond acceptable limits.

Current Assessment:Failure. The finished formula is too aggressive for advancement to the World's Greatest Soap Trials. However, the hardness and cleansing characteristics observed during testing have initiated additional research into Palm Kernel Oil and its potential use in future formulations.
